New Zealand owned and based ARK International is a Cultural Exchange Program registered and approved by the NZ Ministries of Education and Immigration. Fully compliant with the Ministry of Education’s Code of Practice for Pastoral Care ARK International has been dealing with young people since 1985.

Since 1996 ARK International has successfully placed hundreds of New Zealand au pairs in the USA. This success was recognised in 2002 and ARK International was awarded the AuPairCare Presidents Award.

We offer two destinations for Au Pair programs:

USA
12 – 24 month Gap type working holiday with a weekly allowance of US$176.85, increasing to US$195.75 from 23 July 2009, plus your own room and free board. Catering for people 18-26 years of age.

GERMANY
6 - 12 month working holiday with an allowance of €260 - €400 per month plus your own room and free board. Ideally suited to 18-30 years of age.

Tessa Murphy from Ngaruawahia left NZ in February to live in Minneapolis, Minnesota with the Duval family. Her host mother is a professor and Tessa looks after 8 year old Ali.

She says “I'm doing really well. Have met a few girls in the area and everyone is really nice. I'm still not quite used to this cold weather. But have been making the most of it with learning how to ski and going sledding etc. The difference is fun!!!”
